Pasadena Stroll

With camera in hand, I put on my red and white tennis shoes and went for my daily stroll. I stopped in front of City Hall and snapped a picture. I was very cautious, looking around for anyone that might take me as a tourist or a suspicious person. My attire was anything but flattering. With every step I took, I wondered...I should be more chic, upbeat, fashionable. I have lost my sense of style. I feel stuck in the age of the 90's! Help me Please! My Friend DP has agreed to help me find my own unique style but only when I loose the extra 10 pounds I have mysteriously gained on my bottom half. What is with Dispatchers and Sweets!!!
Even though I dread my appearance, I still happened to notice everyone Else's appearance. Walking Thru the Paseo I spotted a female walking slightly funny, almost as if her feet hurt with every step she took. To my dismay, I automatically looked down and witnessed the hottest pink, patent leather, small wedged, open toed shoe, ever seen by man kind!! She possibly could have pulled those shoes off but I think the lime green toe nail polish threw me for a loop and to top it off she literally walked like a Duck!!! My right foot tend to walk like a duck but after that episode, I made an extra effort not to walk like a duck. It is bad enough I am 10 pounds but must my right foot waddle!!!

Strolling thru Town

Earlier today,I could hardly keep my eyes open. So I decided to take my C7 real early today at 1300 hrs. Today is a crisp cool day. The wind was blowing thru my hair and the people were everywhere. I saw a man wearing a dress in a very pretty shade of RED. Strolled past a 20 something homeless couple w/dreads asking for spare change. Was followed for a short distance by a male with a very large receeding hairline and long blonde hair wearing blue jean jacket and pants in a 1980's shade of jean. Not very flattering. With every step I took, I became alert and found myself craving a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks. The aroma was practically calling my name. I kept walking westbound on Colorado. I stopped at the Veronica M. shop to check out a dress I wanted to purchase for a wedding. I was not very impressed. My mind was racing with thoughts of Starbucks spinning thru my head. I don't need Starbucks. Save the $3.95, I have Green Tea in my locker. Drink for your health. You are not getting any younger. Oh, I want to go to the Melting Pot. But what Really is a Fondue Restaurant. Random thoughts like these ran like circles in my head. Clear the mind.........I must come back with Lucy,Evelyn and Rach for a beer at Barneys.

Life is good!

Exhausted! Overworked! Hungover! Delighted! Content! A few choice words to describe my overall attitude today. Exhausted and overworked go hand in hand. I have been working god awful amounts of overtime to pay off some debt. How much have I paid off? About 2 bills. Yay!!
Training for the new CAD was so exhausting. Very boring. Once we figured out the commands,we were ready to go. Of course,we were forced to suffer all the grueling hours!!!! Delighted it is over!

These past 2 weeks have been a big hang over! First, Las Vegas was great! Rod and I had a wonderful time. We played video poker, had bloody marys in the morning, conversed for long hours, and even had a small tiff. Only because I was tired of listening and wanted to go to bed at 1400. I was pretty intoxicated by then. I just walked away and met up with him later. Wouldn't have traded my mini-vegas vacation for anything. But now I am ready for our 2nd mini-vacation. {he doesn't know yet} to Palm Springs to celebrate my Birthday. I was thinking Aguas Caliente Casino, sun bathing, and cocktails by the pool. Planning on making it a 6-some too.

Next week, I am meeting my daughters new man. LOL. He lives in West Covina and attends a highly expensive Private School. Sports of choice include but not limited to,water polo, tennis, and I forgot the rest. Apparently he is a straight A student and a jock. Not bad! I have planned a lunch date. I will be bringing my BGF Erica and her husband {my sancho} to evaluate him. Hopefully he will receive great reviews because he has invited my daughter to his senior Prom. We will have to wait and see.

Where should we go. Somewhere fun with great food that teens will enjoy. Here are my choices:
  • Elephant Bar
  • Fridays
  • Chilis
  • Hooters
  • Applebees
  • BJ's
  • Marie Calendars

Help me choose please.
